On Monday 12th November, mum went to an interview at McDonald's and it went quite well. She was invited to a second interview, with store manager, and an On-Job Evaluation.

Mum went on Tue and met with the store manager, which also went well, but didn't have to do the 15mins OJE. Praise God the manager liked my mum and advised there was a Health & Safety meeting to attend on Fri from 5pm-7:30pm.

Thank God mum worked at Argyle Street, big branch of McDonald's from 11am-4pm. It was really busy because it was Scotland vs. Italy match. Mum has made a few friends with colleagues and met Graham Wong too. She'll be based in Sauchiehall Street branch from 1st Dec 2007 after the renovation is complete. Right now she's waiting for a call from McDonald's to confirm her next shift.

Mum was really tired after she came back from work, but in a good way as she needs to adapt and get used to being on her feet all day.

We trust that the Lord will provide for us and give mum the health and strength.

This morning I spoke to Wei Yao who told Yin Ru and Michelle seen some mugs for 45p at Au Naturale out in town. However, to get 60 of them would be too heavy for the girls to carry. The mugs were for our Autumn Retreat in 23rd-25th Nov. I told Wei Yao to text me more information later as I'd be out at the cinema.

Later Wei Yao told me the mugs were from Au Naturale near Buchanan. I couldn't think where so I walked down to the Argyle Street branch and saw mugs for 60. Spoke to Yin Ru and confirmed it was Au Naturale at Town House.

I went there and found many mugs at 45p each. However, there weren't 60 of the same style / pattern. So I told the guy I wanted 45 of the one style and 15 of another more taller mug. Whilst the guy packed the mugs up I walked back to Chinatown to collect my car and drove back down to Nelson Mandela Place. I counted all the mugs and expected it to come to £27 when I paid for them. But the guy told me it was even cheaper as they were scanning at 5 for £1, which meant they were 20p each! Total came to £12 for 60 mugs! Praise God indeed! The guy even helped me carry the mugs down into my car =)
