First entry of 2008, and it is one to record down what a just God He is. For the past 4.5 month I started receiving text messages from 80708. These texts would advertise latest ringtones etc and is stuff I just delete. But upon checking my phonebills I realise I was getting charged £1.50 for each 'Text Info Service'.

The latest two arrived 21st and 28th Dec, both around same time and when I was in the cinema. So on Wed 2nd Jan I called Voda and was given a number for MBlox Ltd who told me they send out texts for Mocon Digital. Mocon apologised and tookmy contact details inc. address for refund.

Unfort on Fri 4th Jan I received another text from them! So I called to complain yesterday and emailed through inc all the other text messages I've been charged in previous months. Total came to £10.49. Mocon called twice to apologise and advised they'll send out postal order to refund me and remove my number from their system.

Today I received a letter from Mocon Digital apologising for charging me for those texts and gave me postal order for £10.50. This'll come in handy. I'll cash it in and can use towards Ming's birthday dinner. =) Praise God!

I'd been feeling quite down since the break up with Jean in October. But God cheered me up today.

Tuesday I was chatting to Mo on Sametime and I sent him the link to the new Heroes t-shirt on Play.com which I had hoped to buy with my work bonus which was due tomorrow. Mo said he seen that t-shirt before in Forbidden Planet.

When I got home Mo texted me telling me not to order anything online as he'll take a look around for me. Yesterday morning he came up to my desk and handed over a Forbidden Planet bag to me which had the Heroes t-shirt! Wow! His kindness really touched me and it really cheered me up and put a smile on my face! He bought me a large size which I exchanged for medium today after work and it fits well. I'm so thankful to God that He can use Mo to cheer me up - reminds me He still cares for me =)

On Monday 12th November, mum went to an interview at McDonald's and it went quite well. She was invited to a second interview, with store manager, and an On-Job Evaluation.

Mum went on Tue and met with the store manager, which also went well, but didn't have to do the 15mins OJE. Praise God the manager liked my mum and advised there was a Health & Safety meeting to attend on Fri from 5pm-7:30pm.

Thank God mum worked at Argyle Street, big branch of McDonald's from 11am-4pm. It was really busy because it was Scotland vs. Italy match. Mum has made a few friends with colleagues and met Graham Wong too. She'll be based in Sauchiehall Street branch from 1st Dec 2007 after the renovation is complete. Right now she's waiting for a call from McDonald's to confirm her next shift.

Mum was really tired after she came back from work, but in a good way as she needs to adapt and get used to being on her feet all day.

We trust that the Lord will provide for us and give mum the health and strength.

This morning I spoke to Wei Yao who told Yin Ru and Michelle seen some mugs for 45p at Au Naturale out in town. However, to get 60 of them would be too heavy for the girls to carry. The mugs were for our Autumn Retreat in 23rd-25th Nov. I told Wei Yao to text me more information later as I'd be out at the cinema.

Later Wei Yao told me the mugs were from Au Naturale near Buchanan. I couldn't think where so I walked down to the Argyle Street branch and saw mugs for 60. Spoke to Yin Ru and confirmed it was Au Naturale at Town House.

I went there and found many mugs at 45p each. However, there weren't 60 of the same style / pattern. So I told the guy I wanted 45 of the one style and 15 of another more taller mug. Whilst the guy packed the mugs up I walked back to Chinatown to collect my car and drove back down to Nelson Mandela Place. I counted all the mugs and expected it to come to £27 when I paid for them. But the guy told me it was even cheaper as they were scanning at 5 for £1, which meant they were 20p each! Total came to £12 for 60 mugs! Praise God indeed! The guy even helped me carry the mugs down into my car =)

Haven't written an entry in Grace Book for quite some time. Was reminded of my Grace Book when talking to Aaron about relationship issues last night.

I'd like to give thanks to God for how two memory foam pillows arrived at my house. I had ordered a memory foam pillow for Je on Sunday evening, and it shown on eBay that it was dispatched on MOn 17th Sept. Prior to seeing this date I had contacted the seller to ask if / when pillow was sent out but had no reply. I had expected to at least received a Royal Mail card asking me to collect from Cubie Street collecting office, but hadn't received anything on Monday or Tuesday. I called mum in the morning to ask if anything had arrived, even a card. Mum said no and we hung up. Moments later mum miss-called my mobile and I called back. Mum advised that after she hung up Cat texted her to say keep intercom on in case Ming would come up to drop off some curry for us. Mum turned intercom on and shortly after a courier buzzed up to deliver the pillows - yes, pillows, no pillow. He may have sent wrong item to me. Still trying to contact him.

Another item of thanksgiving is when I was in the changing room at the gym. I saw three 1pence pieces under the centre benches, so I walked over to pick them up when nobody was looking. As I bent back up to talk to where I was changing I noticed a 20p piece on the bench further along. So I took that too and pocketed all four coins. I later changed the 20p piece for two 10p so I could use them for the lockers two more times.

I thank God for His simple blessings of a few pennies which I picked up and was grateful for. I believe God blessed me further with 20p. I truly appreciate every blessing God gives me.

#...Every blessing you pour out I'll turn back to praise...#

I mucked up at work today. At the end of training Justin on Oracle and Cust First, I demonstrated to him how to change employee's salary basis from hourly rate to annual salary. I did it so quickly I ended up saving the record for the emp and closed the record, expecting it to ask me if I wanted save my changes. So I felt like I lost the record as I did not take down the payroll number. I remembered 3006- something and surname C%, but could not find anything.

Justin returned to his seat as I still panicked whilst searching for emp record. I had to find it, to correct it because it was someone's wage and that is a big thing. After looking up about eight different records I said to God, "God help me from this" or something to that effect. A few more searches later I came across a payroll number that looked very familiar. Upon trying it I found it was the emp I was looking for. Kara and I managed to delete the new wrong record and reverted back to the former, correct one. This was a case of God coming to my rescue. Amen!

I wanna thank God for providing me with help whilst I am under pressure and burdened. Last Wednesday I agreed to lead cell group this Thursday as May & Andrew will be away to a dental conference. It was a fresh challenge and a great chance to serve God. However, in church yesterday, Wei Yao gave me Sunday School notes for next Sunday. Only later did I realise I hadn't notice Sunday 27th May as my turn to lead Middle Class with Mel helping me. *gasp!*

I would be so busy having to prep cell group and Sunday School in one week! At the end of the EM service I was hoping to speak to Mel to ask her if the rota had changed without me being notified or something, and to make her aware she was helper next Sunday. However, she was still talking to Louise. So I just briefly mentioned Mel was helping me next week and that I'm gonna have a busy week this week. The left EM.

Today after work, Louise texted me, offering to prep cell group for me instead, help me out as she had no Chinese School next week. I felt so relieved and so amazed at God's love for me. For He knew that having two things to prep in one week might have been too much for me, particularly at this time when mum's health is not very good and Je has exam stress etc. I really felt God's love and provision for me. Next time if I get to lead cell group I'll do it properly.
