Haven't written an entry in Grace Book for quite some time. Was reminded of my Grace Book when talking to Aaron about relationship issues last night.

I'd like to give thanks to God for how two memory foam pillows arrived at my house. I had ordered a memory foam pillow for Je on Sunday evening, and it shown on eBay that it was dispatched on MOn 17th Sept. Prior to seeing this date I had contacted the seller to ask if / when pillow was sent out but had no reply. I had expected to at least received a Royal Mail card asking me to collect from Cubie Street collecting office, but hadn't received anything on Monday or Tuesday. I called mum in the morning to ask if anything had arrived, even a card. Mum said no and we hung up. Moments later mum miss-called my mobile and I called back. Mum advised that after she hung up Cat texted her to say keep intercom on in case Ming would come up to drop off some curry for us. Mum turned intercom on and shortly after a courier buzzed up to deliver the pillows - yes, pillows, no pillow. He may have sent wrong item to me. Still trying to contact him.

Another item of thanksgiving is when I was in the changing room at the gym. I saw three 1pence pieces under the centre benches, so I walked over to pick them up when nobody was looking. As I bent back up to talk to where I was changing I noticed a 20p piece on the bench further along. So I took that too and pocketed all four coins. I later changed the 20p piece for two 10p so I could use them for the lockers two more times.

I thank God for His simple blessings of a few pennies which I picked up and was grateful for. I believe God blessed me further with 20p. I truly appreciate every blessing God gives me.

#...Every blessing you pour out I'll turn back to praise...#

I mucked up at work today. At the end of training Justin on Oracle and Cust First, I demonstrated to him how to change employee's salary basis from hourly rate to annual salary. I did it so quickly I ended up saving the record for the emp and closed the record, expecting it to ask me if I wanted save my changes. So I felt like I lost the record as I did not take down the payroll number. I remembered 3006- something and surname C%, but could not find anything.

Justin returned to his seat as I still panicked whilst searching for emp record. I had to find it, to correct it because it was someone's wage and that is a big thing. After looking up about eight different records I said to God, "God help me from this" or something to that effect. A few more searches later I came across a payroll number that looked very familiar. Upon trying it I found it was the emp I was looking for. Kara and I managed to delete the new wrong record and reverted back to the former, correct one. This was a case of God coming to my rescue. Amen!

I wanna thank God for providing me with help whilst I am under pressure and burdened. Last Wednesday I agreed to lead cell group this Thursday as May & Andrew will be away to a dental conference. It was a fresh challenge and a great chance to serve God. However, in church yesterday, Wei Yao gave me Sunday School notes for next Sunday. Only later did I realise I hadn't notice Sunday 27th May as my turn to lead Middle Class with Mel helping me. *gasp!*

I would be so busy having to prep cell group and Sunday School in one week! At the end of the EM service I was hoping to speak to Mel to ask her if the rota had changed without me being notified or something, and to make her aware she was helper next Sunday. However, she was still talking to Louise. So I just briefly mentioned Mel was helping me next week and that I'm gonna have a busy week this week. The left EM.

Today after work, Louise texted me, offering to prep cell group for me instead, help me out as she had no Chinese School next week. I felt so relieved and so amazed at God's love for me. For He knew that having two things to prep in one week might have been too much for me, particularly at this time when mum's health is not very good and Je has exam stress etc. I really felt God's love and provision for me. Next time if I get to lead cell group I'll do it properly.

I want to share about God's blessing at my workplace yesterday. At the end of lunch I called Je to talk about goign to cinema on Sat, as she had requested. However she indirectly hinted that I shouldn't be going out to meet Ja on Saturday as it is "Je's" day. I felt Je was not very understanding that Ja needs someone to talk to at this time (he'd just split up). Also Je tried to reschedule things for me, telling me I'll need to take mum shopping earlier and meet Ja earlier. Even asked me how long I'd be talking to Ja for.

I couldn't take it any longer and I told her to stop as I felt so restricted and I don't like to be controlled. Je apologised and said just to forget the cinema. I said we didn't need to forget cinema, it's just I cannot confirm plans until Aaron confirms what day/ time is suitable for us to meet him so Je can talk to him about studies etc.

After we hung up I felt very unhappy and angry. Yvonne walked passed on her to way lunch and asked if I'm alright to which I responded NO. I shared what just happened to Yvonne who encouraged me to do the right thing and go see Ja, that Je should understand. Yvonne told me not to let these things get to me, as I haven't quite been myself recently. I thanked her for encouragement and went back to type stuff on a log for Je.

At the end of her lunch Yvonne came up to my desk and put a bag of Aero Bubbles onto my desk. I looked up to ask her what it was for and Yvonne told me it was to cheer me up. I found that really kind, sweet and caring of her. Really, she didn't have to do that. I was very touched at this kindness and I thanked Yvonne countlessly. At that time, words could not express my gratitude.

I later prayed to God, thanking Him for sending Yvonne to encourage me. I really didn't expect it at all. It just shows that God can use anyone to encourage and support you, esp at times of need. I am reminded I need to smile and be happy as God loved me very much =)

I can't believe this is my first Grace Book entry of 2007. What have I been up to? Just been too distracted with things, mainly relationship. I feel my life has been distant from God in recent times. Nevertheless, God has continued showering blessings upon me and my family.

This entry was inspired by the kindness of my work colleagus Christine, Yvonne and Ian.

I arrived late into work as I had slept in. Christine asked how I was and I told her I slept in and signalled at a sandwich and a cup-a-soup for my breakfast. Christine then offered me her Crunchy Nut cornflakes, which I initially declined but few moments later, accepted her kind offer.

Later on in the afternoon, Yvonne came up to me and gave me a voucher for £2.50 off men's skincare products from Boots. This was very useful for me. I went to Boots at Buchanan Galleries after work and got a Boots Botanics facewash. Of all male colleagues, Yvonne chose to offer me the voucher =). Throughout the day, Ian and I had been on Sametime and kind of discussed out unhappiness in relationships. We're in similar situations; our gf's not satisfied with us and always want more. Anyway, Ian caught a ride into town with me and accompanied me to Boots and Jessops (for Ming's camera battery) before giong home himself. So we got to talk during this time. Thank God I have someone at work I can talk to and in similar situation.

Although I haven't been the best child of God, nor best son to my mum, God never gives up in blessing me. I just hope I can continue to be grateful for what He has given me. I need to give thanks more often =) So I thank God for Christine, Yvonne and Ian.

Because the girls have to evict from the flat by 15th Dec, there would be no point in getting broadband installed as it would involve an engineer installing a box and a contract for 12 months minimum. The girls were tapping broadband from a "gbelkin" for the last 2/3 weeks. Although the signal was low, it managed to sustain until yesterday where there was no connection at all.

This was heavily inconvenient for Je as she had to help her sister with UCAS personal statement and need to go online for her coursework etc. Sa could walk five minutes to uni library (SL) but Je had not local alternatives. Upset, Je called her dad to complain. Je's dad suggested we as a neighbour whether we can share their broadband with them for two months only and pay half the monthly fee.

We went over to flat 3/1 and explained our situation and asked if it were possible to share with them. Their flat lease expires end of Oct but they were very happy to help us out.

Thursday 5th Oct, Je & Sa paid the woman Chanelle £7 to use broadband for at least a month. Praise God. =)

28 September 2006

As mentioned earlier, since moving into flat, difference started to arise between Je and Sa. After they received the eviction letter, confusion arose: what's going to happen to the girls? Is this a sign from God they shouldn't be together? What's worse is Sa mentioned she might look into moving in with Om which meant that Je would be stranded alone, and it's so difficult to find a flatmate at this time. Everyone else has signed a contract until June.

Anyway, this evening I called an 'emergency' meeting with Sa. We had a discussion about the current situation, our past and our future. How happy the three of us were about a year ago, especially at retreat, and how things seem to different now. At the end we decided that twelve days were not enough to judge how the two girls will get on, that i'll be difficult for both girls to find new accommodation and that communication was lacking in the flat so causing more problems.

To concluded we prayed together and also the girls agreed to make more effort to communicate clealy and make things work out in the flat. Happier again.
